Sconce sits in your macOS menu bar and stays out of your way. Sconce works locally on your Mac, nothing is sent back to us, no tracking, no snooping — privacy matters. This is really important to understand because in order for Sconce to read the wallpaper displayed on your Mac, it has to request the screen recording permission. Sconce does not actually record your screen though, there are no recordings saved or shared anywhere by Sconce.
